"Don’t let the pristine white vinyl throw you off: World Of Rubber 3 has been engineered to make listeners “cry, love, stomp and vomit.” Probably not one for the faint of heart then, but it’s exactly what we expect of Rubber, the Clone-affiliated label based out of the The Hague. Where volumes 1 and 2 saw seasoned veterans Das Ding and Unit Moebius share a 12″ with up-and-comers, this third instalment follows a similar formula.

Focusing on talent both new and old, Japanese industrial-noise duo Group A and the Unit Moebius-affiliated Leuk en Ko are joined by household names on the upcoming release. Interstellar Funk and DJ Overdose both make stellar contributions; the former making two appearances, dipping into overdriven synth-pop and menacing acid territory respectively, while Overdose’s La Corde edit sees 808 patterns thrash violently amongst the discordant electronics. The pick of the bunch, however, is probably A3’s ‘De Snoei 1’. Frantic and drum-heavy, the post-punk stylings of Leuk en Co are sure to generate some serious kinetic energy on adventurous dancefloors."

"The world is coming to an end, but we don’t care, because we’re moon-tan nocturnal, vinyl consuming animals drifting easy through friendly space. An analog trance, nothing can doom this groove; we’re controlling the vibe, manipulating the madness, sucking in the energy and we’ve cosmic nerving endings, telling us how to move, what to do, where to go and then we know, that it’s time to let go!" ... more
